The 34th Season of SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA runs through September 1st!

Astor Street Opry Company is proud to present the 34th Season of SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA, the Live on Stage… Award Winning…Family Entertainment…Original…Historical… Hysterical…Broadway-Style…Musical Melodrama. The 2018 season of SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA runs through September 1st. Click to get your tickets now!

Show times are 7 pm Thursday-Saturday, with a Sunday matinee at 2 pm on August 19th. Tickets are $20 for front row seats, All other seats – $15 adults; $10 children. This season we are featuring $10 Fridays, with all seats $10. This year’s production is directed by SHANGHAIED veteran Ashley Mundel, and features your friends and neighbors, including Matt Duncan, Dawson Yukon Shadd, Matthew Zedwick, Ashley Mundel, Roy Breur, Raul Espericueta, LaMar Blackner, Zachary Sandoval, Mark Fischer, Jon Osborn, Katy Sokol, Josie Posey. Lexi Blacksten, Kristin Zedwick, Jamie Baird, Stephanie Osborn, Madison Ferguson, Lora Posey, Bria Frech, Beth Beauparland, Kathy Matthews, Patricia VonVintage, Julien Thomas, Richard Bracke and Norm Brown.

SHANGHAIED IN ASTORIA began in the mid 80’s with a bare bones budget and cast of fun and talented friends has now grown into a piece of Astoria’s folklore, entertaining over 83,000 in its 34 season history. Our story centers on the “Shanghaiing” of our hero and his daring rescue all in melodramatic style with audience participation by cheering, booing, sighing and throwing popcorn!
